DCSA Parent Code of Conduct 

1. I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at every game, practice, and youth soccer event. 
2. I will place the emotional and physical well-being of my child ahead of a personal desire to win. 
3. I will support the coaches and officials working with my child in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all. 
4. I will refrain from sideline coaching and from engaging in any disagreement or confrontation with referees, coaches, players, or spectators from any team; and I will not encourage poor sportsmanship behavior in any player.
5. I will remember that the game is for our children - not adults. I will do my very best to make youth soccer fun for my child. 
6. I will require my child to treat all players, coaches, fans, and officials with respect. 
7. I will help my child enjoy the youth soccer experience by honoring their commitment to the team(s) by being at all practices and games, and by providing timely drop off and pick up.  [Extenuating circumstances will be communicated to coaches as soon as identified].
8. I will address problems and concerns calmly, seeking solutions at a proper time and location. I will refrain from discussions and confrontations with the coach in front of children. 
9. I will remember the coaches’ main focus is to build a team of well rounded, fundamentally sound athletes in order to help my child succeed on this team as well as in future endeavors. 
10. I understand that I am invited and encouraged to attend any/all DCSA regular board meetings.  I will provide volunteer support to the best of my ability and availability. [meeting schedule via web/FB page]
11. I understand that any volunteer work, donations, or support of any kind will not result in special treatment of my player(s) in any way.
12. I will respect the property the organization is permitted to use by preventing damage and by cleaning/picking up after myself and my family during/after events.
13. I will be considerate of the wishes of other parents to NOT have their children’s picture shared on any social media.
14. I will not carry any firearm(s), open or concealed, to the soccer fields (games, practices, tournaments, etc) or other DCSA events, in accordance with Ohio Law.
