DCSA Player Code of Conduct 

1. I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and any officials at every game, practice, and youth soccer event. 
2. I will place my team ahead of my personal desire to win in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all.
3. I will refrain from engaging in any disagreement or confrontation with referees, coaches, players, or spectators from any team. 
4. I will treat all players, coaches, fans, and officials with respect. 
5. I will be responsible to have myself and all personal equipment (practice/game clothes, cleats, shin guards, ball, water bottle, etc.) ready for all practices and games.
6. I will address problems and concerns calmly, seeking solutions at a proper time and location. 
7. I will remember the coaches’ main focus is to build a team of well rounded, fundamentally sound athletes in order to help me and my teammates succeed on this team as well as in future endeavors. 
8. I will honor my commitment to the team(s) by being at all practices and games within my control.  [Extenuating circumstances will be communicated to coaches as soon as identified.]
9. I will respect the property the organization is permitted to use by preventing damage and by cleaning/picking up after myself during/after practice & games.
